ARCANE WARD: CRUSH | Standard Action / Attack | 5 Mana |

 

You mutter one of the ancient words, forbidden for its brutality. You cast out your grip on the real world, causing the air itself to harden and come down upon a target of your choice.  That target must make a Con saving throw of 5+Int or take 1d12+2(Str) damage and be exposed for 2 rounds. 

(Exposed characters have their AC halved.)

(Mages may call upon this ability once per 2 rounds of combat.)

ARCANE RECOIL | Reactionary / Debuff | 7 Mana | 

As a snap reaction, thicken the air around your foe.  Causing great resistance in their normal movements, making them feel as though they are wading through water.  For the next 2 rounds, the target is unable to make fast actions.

(Mages may call upon this ability once per 5 turns.)

REQUIREMENT: 1 DEX

XP COST: 30

MASS HASTE | Fast Action / Buff 15 Mana |

Push you or your allies closer to their greatest potential for a short time.  Making them feel lighter on their feet, faster in their movements.  All allies may make one additional basic attack on their next turn.  You may cast two standard action spells this turn.

REQUIREMENT: 1 WIS 1 STR

FORBIDDEN LORE |  Passive / Buff |

 

Your knowledge of the occult and supernatural elements of this world +2 to all knowledge checks while in domains inhabited by spirits, extraplanar or otherwise supernatural beings and creatures.

 

Additionally, you may now add “Elder Speech” to your list of known languages in the “Comprehend Language” spell.

REQUIREMENTS: 2 INT 1 WIS

WIZARD'S BOON | Fast Action / Buff | x Mana 

Infuse the next attack made by either a target ally or your ownl, to be soaked in the accelerant of properties of arcane energy. 

For every 3 points of mana, target player’s next attack deals an additional 2(Int+Str) points of damage.

For every 4 points of mana, the caster’s next spell deals an additional 2(Int+Wis) points of damage.

For every 5 points of mana, target player’s next healing ability applies an additional 2(Int+Con) of healing.

(Mages may call upon this ability once per 3 turns.)

REQUIREMENT: 2 WIS 1 INT

WIZARD'S VETO |  Reactionary / Utility | 1 Mana 

Enter into a battle of wills against another as they use a skill or spell.  Each must roll a Wisdom check.  If the Wizard’s score is higher, the target skill/spell fails.

(Mages may call upon this ability once per 4 turns of combat.)


REQUIREMENTS: 3 WIS

XP COST: 80

ARCANE WORD: "HEAL, MEND" | Fast Action / Heal | 10 Mana |

In a tongue of your choosing, you speak the word of healing. You may tune a share of your magic into a vitalizing energy to be bestowed on those worthy of receiving it.

 

With this effect, you healing them for 2(Int+Wis) points of health.

(Mages may call upon this ability once per 4 turns.)

REQUIREMENT: 3 INT
XP COST: 65

ARCANE WORD: "STOP, REVERSE" |  Standard Action / Utility |  10 Mana​ | 

When speaking these forbidden words, you grasp at the ebb and flow of time itself. Targeting a single being in a small area, you reverse the flow of time a short length.  All changes in health total and resources, durations or occurrences of buffs/debuffs, and DoT/HoT effects are rolled back by 1 round for one target.

Your many ventures and countless hours of study have given you the great gift of experience.  You are hard to catch off guard, and never travel unprepared.  You always seem to have just the answer to your problems. 

 

Gain an additional +2 to all Dex/Wis/Int saving throws.
